Educator and genealogist, Kate Kelley, founder of The Photo Angel Project ,has spent years reuniting forgotten photos with their families.  A longtime special education teacher in Massachusetts, Kate combines her love of history, research and storytelling to bring these memories back home. 

It all began with a pile of labeled photos of non-relatives that were mixed in with Kate’s Grandparents” old family pictures.  Were they friends? Classmates? War buddies? Neighbors? Kate was determined to find out. 

In addition to giving presentations to local and national genealogical and historical societies, she has been featured on the Today Show and in the Boston Globe, Kate will share the story behind her project and offer a look at how she tracks down descendants from a single photograph.
