If you have an interest in a particular genealogy topic please volunteer to hold a monthly meeting, called a Special Interest Group or SIG, on that topic. We will help to arrange a time and place and will publicize. It may seem counter-intuitive, but to host and/or present at a meeting is a great way to learn.
Please take advantage of the hard work of our volunteers and enjoy what the SIGs have to offer. Also note that August and December are the months that SIGs don't meet (with the exception of the over-achieving Publishing SIG who meet every month.).
Our SIGs are a benefit of being a member of the San Ramon Valley Genealogical Society. They are available to SRVGS members and guests may attend three SIG meetings for free.
Note: The AI Special Interest Group was discontinued as of July, 2026. If anyone is interested in leading it going forward please contact the SIG Coordinator Bill George.
